英女王夫婿爱丁堡公爵菲利普亲王（Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip）被称为英国王室最勤劳的成员之一，他是超过780个慈善机构的主席、赞助人和成员。下个月他将迈入96岁，早前宣布将在今年秋天荣休，大幅度减少王室职务活动。履行王室职责70年，他留下不少雷人语录。退休消息一出，英国《每日镜报》即刻整理出他的96句语录，BBC中文网更从1966年起，按年分列出他的箩筐语录，有的（自认）俏皮，有的无礼，有的根本极度政治不正确，勾画出这位女王的男人很有“做自己”的个性。
