Discover how to elevate your guitar playing beyond simple strumming through the expressive art of fingerstyle, inspired by the rich heritage of Xinyao. This 1.5-hour workshop is specially designed for everyday guitar players who already know basic chords and want to enhance their accompaniment skills for singing, whether for themselves or for others.
Beyond strumming, participants will learn three essential fingerpicking patterns that can be applied to a wide range of songs. They will also explore how to elevate their playing by incorporating percussive techniques on the guitar, including how to produce snare and kick effects to create a fuller sound. In addition, participants will be guided on how to arrange their own intros, interludes, and outros to make their performances more engaging and personalised. The workshop will also provide practical tips to help build confidence and improve musical expression, enabling participants to play with greater feel, control, and creativity. Lesson will be conducted in English.
