Ong Ye Kung is the Minister for Health. He was elected Member of Parliament for Sembawang Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in September 2015, and was re-elected in July 2020 in Sembawang GRC.

He had held the positions of Minister for Transport, Minister for Education, Second Minister for Defense and board member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. He is also the Chairman of the Chinese Development Assistance Council.

Prior to joining politics, he held various positions in Government, including Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Workforce Development Agency, and Deputy Chief Negotiator for the US-Singapore Free Trade Agreement. He served several years in the Labour Movement, as the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress, and spent some time in the private sector, as the Director of Group Strategy at Keppel Corporation.

Mr Ong graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) and the Institute of Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland. He is married with two children.

Mr Eric Chua is Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development, as well as Culture, Community and Youth. Mr Chua was previously a lifesaver in the Singapore Civil Defence Force for 17 years before being elected to Parliament in July 2020. Before joining politics, Mr Chua spent a good part of his time volunteering in the community. Over the span of his professional and volunteering journey, he discovered his passion for working with and empowering people. Having come from a humble family background, Mr Chua advocates strongly for social mobility and is a strong believer of the power of mentoring.

Most recently, Mr Chua was the co-chair of the 27-member Enabling Masterplan 2030 Steering Committee, that sets out the vision for Singapore as an inclusive society in 2030. He was also the Head of an inter-agency delegation for Singapore’s first Constructive Dialogue with the United Nations committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, where Singapore shared the progress we have made, and our continued commitment in our journey towards an inclusive society.

Mr Eric Chua is married with a son.

Ms Lee Huay Leng is the Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Media Group of SPH Media Group, which includes Lianhe Zaobao, Shin Min Daily News, student publications, HeyKaki and ThinkChina.

Huay Leng joined SPH in 1994 as a journalist at Lianhe Zaobao. She has held numerous roles, including Hong Kong Correspondent, Beijing Bureau Chief, China Editor, News Editor and Deputy Editor of Lianhe Zaobao. Prior to her current role, she was the Editor of Lianhe Wanbao from January 2014 to November 2016.

Huay Leng currently serves as a member of the Public Transport Council, Founders’ Memorial Committee and The Esplanade Co Ltd. She is also a board director of the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism and Business China. She received the Hsing Yun Journalism Award (Outstanding Achievement) in 2019.

Huay Leng graduated with an honours degree in Chinese Studies from the National University of Singapore and holds a Master of Arts degree in Southeast Asian Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She was an Asian Fellow at Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, Harvard Kennedy School (2010-2011), and a Singapore Lien fellow of Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship (2014).

Cindy Mi is the founder and CEO of VIPKID. She graduated from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in 2012 with a master’s degree in business administration. She is a Ph.D. candidate of the Doctor of Education programme at the Institute of Education of Tsinghua University. She is the Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum 2018 and a 2020 Eisenhower Fellow of the Eisenhower Foundation.

Cindy founded VIPKID in 2013 and is an edutech company specializing in online language education. Leveraging its technological advantage, it connects high-quality educational resources worldwide, enabling second language learners around the world to cultivate their interest in language and learn how to apply knowledge in an immersive environment.

VIPKID regards "Inclusion Education and Quality Education" as its social responsibility and joined multiple charitable organizations to provide children in rural areas with more opportunities to learn languages and understand the world. Its "Online English School for Rural Area" has been implemented in 1,000 rural schools across China.

Liu Yong Gang is CEO and Editor-in-Chief of The Paper (Chinese Name: Peng Pai Xin Wen). He co-founded “Oriental Morning Post” in 2003 and led the restructuring effort to reshape a traditional newspaper into a full-fledged digital media product “The Paper” in July 2014. He holds the current role since August 2016.

Yong Gang graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law and holds a master in literature from Shanghai Fudan University, China. He also has a Master of Business Administration for Senior Management.

Ms Han Yong May is the Executive Editor of Lianhe Zaobao at SPH Media. She has worked at various newspapers under the Chinese Media Group and was involved in the startup of Singapore’s first free newspaper - MyPaper. She helmed the digital transformation efforts of the Chinese Media Group from 2007 and was its first Digital Editor. Prior to her current role, she was the Editor of Newshub.

Yong May has more than 20 years of experience working at various papers, extensively covering social issues, government policies and political news in Singapore.

Yong May is a Director of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and a council member of the National Integration Council. She also volunteers at several public institutions.

Xi JieYing is a researcher of China Youth and Children Research Center and the former director of the organization. He has ever served as a special researcher in the Counselor's Office of the State Council, president of China Youth Publishing House, president of China Youth Magazine, executive deputy secretary-general of China Youth Development Foundation, and deputy director of the Research Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China.

He headed the team to draft the first Law on the Protection of Minors and co-founded Project Hope in China.

Xi JieYing is a CPC member, holding a Master of Law. He is an expert who enjoys special allowances from the State Council. He is also a renowned author, published more than 40 books and 200 articles in youth research field.

Mrs Tan-Soh Wai Lan was appointed President of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in January 2021 and has since been leading the efforts to establish the academy as a founding member of the University of the Arts Singapore. Since her appointment, NAFA also saw a successful rejuvenation of its brand in 2022, achieving top 200 rankings for four consecutive years in The Straits Times Singapore’s Best Employers list, and being ranked #37 in 2023.

Prior to joining NAFA, Mrs Tan held an appointment as Coordinating Divisional Director, Communications and Engagement Group (CEG) at the Ministry of Education (MOE). In her four years in MOE, she led and transformed the CEG to an effective and forward-thinking outfit within the Ministry known for its innovative practices, robust systems and effective strategies. Mrs Tan was also Principal of CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School from 2012 to 2016, and had previously served in diverse roles within the education sector. In recognition of her unwavering dedication and significant contributions, she was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2015.

Mrs Tan is also the author of her memoir "An Attitude of Gratitude", published in September 2023. Since its release, it has been listed as one of the Best Sellers and Hot New Releases in the Educator’s Biographies category on Amazon.sg

Mr David Chua was appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore National Youth Council (NYC), an autonomous agency under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY). NYC oversees two key operational divisions - Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) and Youth Corps Singapore. NYC drives holistic youth development at the national level, in partnership with public and private sector agencies. It engages young Singaporeans, sends them overseas for growth and exposure, tracks youth trends and capacity builds youth sector organisations.

David is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors at *SCAPE, a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) under MCCY, that runs aspirational programmes for youth. Prior to joining NYC, David served for 22 years in the Singapore Armed Forces.

Dolly Zhuo holds a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Portsmouth, UK. She has studied wine for more than 15 years and has a keen interest in different types of wine. She attends wine courses and focuses on wine culture promotion and industry sales.

She was invited to be a columnist of Economic Digest of Hong Kong since 2018.

In 2018, she was honored with Dame de La Jurade Member Commandeur and was honored with Commanderie du Bontemps de Medoc, des Graves, de Sauternes et de Barsac in 2019.

Peng Fei is a 2nd-year doctoral student at Communication University of China. She graduated from Central South University, and then received a scholarship from the University of Leeds to continue her studies in communications, earning a Bachelor and Master degree in Arts. Currently, she is focusing on international communications and cyberspace governance.

Peng has served as an environmental ambassador for the "Green Xiaoxiang" institution and is also an outstanding volunteer representative for international cultural exchange. She enjoys photography and has won first prize in the China-Britain Youth Photography Competition and other awards; she loves outdoor activities and has led hiking groups to explore the suburbs of England; she loves traveling and as a backpacker, she has travelled to more than ten cities and towns across China.
